Mail Room and Print Shop Campaign Update
A
campaign (petition letter to Liz Sandals, MPP Guelph-Wellingotn)
has been pulled together to keep the Mail Room and Print
shop at the 1 Stone Rd Complex (in Guelph) as "Public
Service". Approx 100 letters were collected from the
membership in the first day. Way to go! Keep them coming!!
To
get a copy of the letter - click on the link below or
contact one of the Stewards at 1 the Stone Road Complex.
Please and return your signed copy of the letter to any of
the Stewards listed on the cover page or directly to Andrea
or Linda. The members in the mail room and print shop really
appreciate the solidarity that is coming through from the
Local membership.

Parking
Campaign Update
Both AMAPCEO and OPSEU Local 232 have
launched a group grievance process in support of various campaign
activities already taken to date.
We invite you to give due
consideration to signing on to a group grievance, which is similar
to filing a class action suit; meaning that you are signing on with
other individuals regarding the same matter. This will demonstrate
the level of support from the membership for the parking issue
concerning the 43% increase in rates. The number of members that
sign on is a direct signal to the Employer of how important this
issue is to a large number, rather than just a few staff.
Furthermore, this will go a long way to showing support for the
policy grievance filed by OPSEU.
